 Muslims worldwide will

follow a shared tradition during sunset of Ramadan by breaking their fast with dates.

Muslims observe fasting throughout the day from

sunrise to sunset during this month of prayer

and spiritual reflection. Muslims must observe this as

one of the five fundamental Islamic practices. The Prophet Muhammad recommended that Muslims use dates to end

their fast because the Quran mentions dates multiple times as an essential food source in Islam. The fruit provides multiple health advantages which make it suitable for people who are fasting.

The unique nutritional benefits of dates make them an exceptional post-fasting meal choice. The body needs glucose as its primary energy source which it starts producing when you end your fast according to British nutritionist Shehnaaz Bashir who fasts during Ramadan. Our blood sugar levels increase faster when we consume dates because their high sugar content. Other foods take more time for our bodies to transform them into usable energy.

Bashir explains that you

can satisfy your needs by consuming enough food.

People can increase

their dietary fiber intake

by using nuts and seeds as toppings for their meals. Some people show a strong dislike

for dates.

Intermittent fasting which people use for health benefits instead of religious purposes has become widely accepted outside of Ramadan. The fasting methods used in Ramadan are almost identical to the fasting methods used in this practice according to Bashir. People

who dislike dates have access to more than 100 different date types. People should sample multiple date varieties.

Ail explains that

dates possess various textural qualities because their different types exhibit both chewy and soft characteristics while some types have dense

skin and others have light skin. You can create a smoothie by grinding them into powder form. The combination of dates with milk serves as a viable alternative solution.
